Performance of cured product
Basic information
Please contact us as the registration status varies from each countries.
Please contact us as it will vary depending on the model number, purchase quantity, quality assurance details, etc.
Curability and properties vary depending on the number of functional groups and the structure.
The recommended volume of addition varies depending on the application to be examined and the required characteristics such as sensitivity and mechanical properties after curing, so please tell us the details. Generally, in the UV curing system, 1-3% is added to the monomer / resin solid content, and in the epoxy curing system, it is evaluated from the same amount as the epoxy group.
Physical characteristics of product
KarenzMT has low odor.
However, the odor is a sensory evaluation, so please check with a sample.
It is stable in a general environment.
Please contact us as it is listed in the SDS.
Sensitivity ・ reaction
We believe that the addition of thiols reduces polymerization inhibition by oxygen, improves the efficiency of radical reactions, and improves sensitivity. Since the initiator efficiency is increased, it can be reduced the amount of Photoinitiator.
Please contact us for details as it differs depending on the system.
Alkalis like amines, and some of metals like Ag. should be avoided. Shelf-life might be shortened in alkali condition because Michel addition reaction is accelerated by alkali ingredient such as amines.
Performance of cured product
Depending on the amount of thiol, flexibility and elongation will be changing.
It is thinkable that this is due to the flexible structure of the thiol and the difference in the binding species.
The result of weathering test with weather meter was showed no coloring due to addition of KarenzMT.
Please contact us for details.
Is thinkable the reason that is uniform orientation of cured product and that reduction of migration caused by reducing uncured portion.
KarenzMT has very low vapor pressure and will be a part of polymer chain after curing, so the out-gas would be below detection limit.
( We don't think you would sense typical thiol odor after curing as well. )
