About isocyanate monomers

Basic information

Q.M1-1Have you obtained the Chemical Substances Control Law?

It depends on the item, country, area. Please contact us about details.

Q.M1-2How much the price?

It depends on the item, transaction conditions, etc.
Please contact us.

Q.M1-3Do you have any different block type?

If you have any request, please contact us.

Physical properties

Q.M2-1How about the stability about Karenz MOI?

It is stable for over a year when stored in a cool and dark place ( 10 ℃ ).
However, It reacts with water to produce urea and generate carbon dioxide.

Q.M2-2How long the quality guarantee period?
Karenz MOI 2months after delivery ( not opened )
Others 1month after delivery ( not opened )
Q.M2-3How to dispose of it?

It depends on the item, country, area. Please make sure the SDS of each products.

Q.M2-4Do you add a polymerization inhibitor?

It is added BHT ( dibutylhydroxytoluene ) as a polymerization inhibitor ( 1,000 ppm or less ).

Polymerization / UV curing

Q.M3-1How about the reactivity between isocyanate and hydroxyl group?

Karenz MOI has more reactive than the aliphatic isocyanates IPDI and HDI.

Q.M3-2What catalyst is recommended to enhance the urethane reaction?

We recommend the catalysts as below.

1.Tin-based catalyst ( dibutyltin dilaurylate, etc. )
2.Amine-based catalyst ( triethylenediamine, etc. )
3.Carboxylate catalyst ( lead naphthenate, potassium acetate, etc. )
4.Trialkylphosphine catalyst ( triethylphosphine, etc. )

Blocked types

Q.M4-1Is there reblocking due to temperature drop after heating and deblocking?

Blocking and deblocking are in equilibrium. Therefore, reblocking occurs in a closed environment.
In the open environment, in the case of Karenz MOI-BM, methylethylketone oxime evaporates and reblocking hardly occurs, but in the case of Karenz MOI-BP, most of dimethyl pyrazole remains as a solid, so it thinkable to be reblocked.
