How can I get the samples and MSDS? |

KarenzMT™ |
 |
| Information about KarenzMT™ itself |
| Q1-1 |
Have you registered to TSCA and EINECS or REACH?@ |
| A |
We can answer you the latest situation about KarenzMT™ PE1. |
| Q1-2 |
Which level of addition in the formulation do you recommend?@ |
| A |
In general, from 1 to 3wt% to monomer or resin content, depends on the formulation and the property you focus. |
| Q1-3 |
What level of odor KarenzMT™ has?@ |
| A |
We think KarenzMT™ has very weak odor and many of our customers agree that it is acceptable. However, sensory evaluation depends on each personal sense. Please try our sample and tell us your impression.

| Q1-4 |
How is the stability of KarenzMT™ itself?@ |
| A |
KarenzMT™ is stable for more than one year at room temperature. |
| Reactivity in formulation |
| Q2-1 |
What is the reason KarenzMT™ enhances sensitivity?@
Is it possible to reduce the amount of initiator? |
| A |
During the curing reaction (radical polymerization), thiol acts as chain transfer agent. It is able to eliminate oxygen inhibition and helps to achieve higher efficiency of radical reaction. Thus it makes possible to enhance sensitivity and may reduce the amount of initiator as well. |
| Stability in formulation (before curing) |
| Q3-1 |
How is the stability at room temperature?@ |
| A |
Our formulation test result showed it is stable more than one month at room temperature. |
| Q3-2 |
Any additives should be avoided?@ |
| A |
Alkalis like amines, and some of metals like Ag. should be avoided.
Shelf-life might be shortened in alkali condition because Michel addition reaction is accelerated by alkali ingredient such as amines.. |
| Q4-1 |
What about the mechanical properties?@ |
| A |
Flexibility has a tendency to increase, and elongation as well, they are in general dependently on increased KarenzMT™ level. |
| Q4-2 |
What is the reason KarenzMT™ enhances flexibility?@ |
| A |
Because of the sulfide-linkages formed by the reaction of thiol groups in KarenzMT™. They enhance flexibility dependently on increased KarenzMT™ level. |
| Q4-3 |
How is the weather resistance under sunlight?@ |
| A |
KarenzMT™ has good weatherability and hardly have coloration. |
| Q4-4 |
What is the reason KarenzMT™ improves transparency?@ |
| A |
We think that by addition of KarenzMT™, crystallinity is decreased and become amorphous. In such condition, transparency is improved as a consequence of suppression of scattered light. |
| Q4-5 |
What about the out-gas?@ |
| A |
KarenzMT™ has very low vapor pressure and will be a part of polymer chain after curing, so the out-gas would be below detection limit.
We don't think you would sense typical thiol odor after curing as well. |
