Introduction

Showa Denko succeeded to establish its brand new continuous production process of AOI in large scale, which enable us to offer this to our customers.
To make our focus clear, we named this product AOI-VM, VM means Versatile Monomer, for industrial application.
We believe that AOI-VM will help to develop new products with higher performance and lower environmental damage.

HANDLING AND STORAGE
Receive and read SHOWA DENKO 's Material Safety Date Sheet, and understand its information.

Handling
AOI-VM is highly hazardous and can corrode eyes, mucous membrane and skin.
Therefore, observe the following precautions.

1j Give regular education to operators regarding the toxicity and reactivity of AOI-VM .
2j Be careful to avoid direct contact of skin, eyes, or clothing with AOI-VM Make sure not to inhale vapor.
3j In case AOI-VM has splashed on clothing, take the clothing off immidiately.
As for skin, wash the affected area thoroughly with water. Then wash with soap and water. Contaminated clothing should be disposed of.

Storage
Avoid contact with water, heat, strong base and active-hydrogen-containing compounds (alcohol, amine)
AOI-VM reacts with moisture and generates insoluble urea and carbon dioxide gas.
Urea can cause clogging of pipes and valves.
Store in a cool and dark place.
Observe the laws and regulations with regard to fire fighting and toxic/hazardous materials.
